A Sensual Journey of Sisterhood, Connection, and Earth Magic

As the flames of Beltane ignite, we gather in a circle of women, seeking deep healing and vibrant connection. This retreat is a sacred space to reawaken our sensuality, not just in the physical sense, but in every aspect of our being. We will delve into the rich tapestry of sisterhood, nurturing supportive bonds that empower and uplift each other.

Guided by the rhythms of the Earth, we will reconnect with the ancient wisdom held within. Through mindful movement, expressive rituals, and heartfelt sharing, we will shed layers of self-doubt and embrace our authentic selves. We will explore the sensuality of touch, not just with others, but also through deep self-connection and appreciation for our bodies.

This is a journey of rediscovering the wild woman within, the one who is untamed, passionate, and deeply connected to the Earth’s magic. We will tap into our creative potential, celebrate our unique gifts, and weave a web of support and love that will carry us far beyond the retreat.

Join us as we dance with the flames of Beltane, awaken our senses, and embrace the fullness of our sensual nature.

Suzie

Founder and creator of Ahimsa Plant Healing.

I am an experienced cacaoista who has journeyed deeply with this sacred bean, as well as other master plant teachers. Yet I know there is still much for me (and all of us humans) to learn from the ancient wisdom of the plant kingdom. I love to share the transformative magic of plants, holding space for others to connect deeper with nature and explore their own inner landscapes (as well as our interconnected ones).

I’ve studied many spiritual traditions, with a masters in Buddhism, and see facets of beauty and truth in all traditions. But it is to my ancestral roots of Celtic Druidry, with its reverence for the land and nature, that I’ve found myself returning.

I’m happiest when foraging in the woods or hedgerows with my daughter and partner, then making medicine together in our farm kitchen. My passion is weaving our herbal allies into delicious and nourishing recipes. I specialise in botanical treats, like our blue lotus and rose ceremonial brownies. Through my own journeying, I have come to believe that plants can help us heal both ourselves and the world.

Jodie

Jodie is a nurturing soul dedicated to creating wholesome environments for women to explore their inner landscapes. Weaving practices such as yoga nidra, meditation, and inner visualisation journeys she guides others to discover their internal truth.

Grounded in her earthy Capricorn essence, Jodie brings a sense of realness with a touch of seduction, drawing inspiration from the elements of fire and earth. Her reverence for the land and inner wisdom drives her mission to heal sisterly wounds and foster a renewed sense of community. Additionally, Jodie offers intimate photo shoots as a medium for women to authentically connect with and express themselves. Her blend of aesthetic artistry and intuition gives Jodie the ability to create retreats that are both visually stunning and deeply transformative.

Hanan

I am a trained actress, teacher, yoga instructor and life coach. Already during her 4-year acting training. I have worked for stage, film and voice acting. Based in Berlin, I am a passionate yoga teacher, trained in Yoga Vidya, and am mainly active in coaching and yoga classes. My goal is to support participants in finding their own voice and encouraging them to develop their own potential.

Magical Feasting with Ahimsa Plant Healing

We specialise in sustainable plantbased food + drink. We cater for conscious events, retreats, dinners and more. Our experienced catering team will meet the unique needs of your event and guests . Our bespoke menus are crafted with love and inspired by the seasons.

We care about deeply about provenance, sourcing all of our ingredients ethically and sustainably. Many of the vegetables, herbs, and medicinal botanicals we use are foraged by us in the wild, or grown in the permaculture garden we’re based on. We also support local small-scale biodynamic farmers; source our grains, legumes and nuts from British organic producers; our sea salt from the Dorset coast; and use the highest-quality exquisite and exotic superfoods from fair-trade, regenerative sources that empower indigenous communities and ecosystems across the globe.

We love working with nature to create beautiful feasts that nourish, delight, and inspire.

Farm to table

Our off-grid studio is based on the permaculture farm Lawsons Market Garden in the Norfolk countryside. This is where much of the fresh produce we use in our menus comes from. We also grow many of our own tea blends and herbal infusions in our mandala garden here.

Natural & Inclusive

All of our offerings are made from scratch with love and without anything artificial. Alchemising the delicious ingredients nature offers into truly sensational dishes. We cater for intolerances and special diets so everyone has the opportunity to enjoy our dishes. Our food is for everyone, vegans and non-vegans alike!

Quality

Craft and artisanship are incredibly important to us. We intentionally curate our menus to both deeply nourish the body and delight the senses. Years of crafting has gone into refining our recipes and practises.

Plant based & Seasonally Inspired

We use 100% vegan and cruelty-free ingredients and products, in respect and honour of the animals who share our planet. Our offerings are designed to be a celebration of the seasons, inspired by what’s growing around us, and the myths and folklore of the land.

Zero Waste

The principles of permaculture are infused into all layers of our business. We thrive on finding creative uses for our ‘waste’, like making cheese from our mylk pulps and stock from our veggie scraps. We only use compostable or reusable packaging. Any food waste is composted back on the farm, helping build nutrient-dense soil for the next growing season.

Frequently asked questions

Does the price for the room include all the food and workshops?

Yes there is one single price; when you book your room, this also covers you for the entire experience, including all food (breakfast lunch dinner, drinks and snacks) and workshops etc.  There are no additional charges.

Are there any additional charges once the room is booked?

No! The room booking fee includes everything. You will not be asked for any additional payments once your room is booked.

Are toilets and showers close to the bedrooms and how available will they be?

There are a number of bathrooms in immediate proximity to the bedrooms, evenly distributed and in close proximity to the bedrooms. In addition, almost all of the bedrooms have a private wash basin, 3 of the bedrooms have private showers and one of the bedrooms has a full en-suite (including bath). This means that the shared bathrooms are not only in good proximity to the bedrooms, but will also be freely available and unlikely to have queues. Cheynes House was built over 100 years ago and designed to accommodate the number of guests we are hosting on the retreat.

Do I need to book a room AND pay for the workshops/retreat?

Our retreat is one single price; by booking a room, you will also be securing your spot on the retreat and in the workshops. The rooms at Cheynes House are so beautifully different with varying amenities – this is great because you can choose your right level of comfort vs the right price that’s affordable to you.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes! Paying in up to 3 monthly instalments couldn’t be easier. Once you’ve chosen your room option and have gone to the checkout page, you will have the option of paying with Klarna. Select this option and click “Proceed” to be taken to the instalment payment information.

I’m not sure if I will know anyone on the retreat – will I be okay?

Yes! We encourage every woman to come on our sisterhood retreat, whether on your own or with someone you know. We find that many people book retreats on their own and so you will not be alone in this. Our retreats are designed to create inclusivity, and build bonds – you may not know anyone at the beginning but by the end of the retreat, we hope you will have found a sisterhood for life.

Will there be some down time?

Absolutely. We have created a great timetable of beautiful workshops but have also ensured that there are some breaks and opportunities for you to rest, where you can enjoy some of the facilities that Cheynes House has to offer, or just to have a bit of private time. All of the workshops are optional, so if you need to skip anything to have a break, or re-energise in the sauna, then great!

What facilities are there at the property?

Cheynes House hosts a number of amenities to enjoy during your downtime, including a sauna, gym, hot tub and tennis courts.

Do I need to bring towels?

No – Cheynes House provides all guests with towels.

Are there hair dryers?

Yes! There are a few hair dryers at the property but you may want to consider bringing your own too.
